Scouting report: The Wildcats have a solid nucleus in place for the upcoming season. Billy Hanley will be the go-to player after he rushed for 836 yards a season ago and he accumulated 248 yards through the air. With junior Nick Drury in his first full year as the team’s starting quarterback, look for Hanley to carry the load early in the season. Defensively, junior Zach Arnold is becoming a stud. He started at middle linebacker as a sophomore in 2013 and led the team with 108 tackles. Senior outside backers Diego Oropeza and Gavin Saucedo also return, forming a strong group in the middle of the Wildcats defense. With last season’s 2-8 record behind them, look for the Wildcats to bounce back and push for one of the league’s two guaranteed playoff spots.
