The Register’s top five O.C. players to watch in boys lacrosse.

TOP FIVE PLAYERS TO WATCH

Samuel Harnisch, St. Margaret’s.: Harnisch scored 65 goals with 17 assists last season as a junior. You can expect a big year from him in his final season before he rejoins his brother Ryan at the University of Denver.

Kevin Kodzis, Foothill: Kodzis enters his fourth year on varsity and will be a key figure for the Knights offense. The Holy Cross-bound Kodzis was one of the team’s top scorers last season.

Eric Rubak, Santa Margarita: Rubak, who has committed to Bellarmine University, was as dominant as any in defense last season. He had an 84 percent clear percentage, 45 ground balls and forced 42 turnovers.

Kevin Cox, St. Margaret’s: Cox played a key role during the Tartans’ postseason run, scoring a pair of goals in the O.C. final. He had 40 goals for the season.

Jason Simaan, Corona del Mar: Simaan is CdM’s face-off specialist.
