OCVarsity’s girls volleyball preview for 2015:

Emma Calle, Villa Park, Jr.: Calle earned first-team all-Crestview League honors last season. She will again be looked to provide leadership from her outside hitter position. She had 418 kills last season.

Jessie Harris, Corona del Mar, Sr.: Harris is another versatile player the Sea Kings can rely on. She was the third-team All-County setter last season, but will see time as outside and opposite hitter for CdM.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW

———————————————

Cali Hoye, San Clemente, Sr.: Hoye was the South Coast League MVP last season as the Tritons claimed the South Coast League title. Hoye is one of the top outside hitters around and makes the Tritons one of the top teams to watch.

Meghan McClure, Santa Margarita, Jr.: McClure might be the county’s most dominant attacker. She was second-team All-County last season and will be a driving force again this season.

Mima Mirkovic, Woodbridge, Jr.: Mirkovic missed her sophomore season due to injury. Healthy, she is one of the top attackers in the county, as she proved as a freshman.

Julia Patterson, Los Alamitos, Sr.: The Griffins are in good hands with the senior setter. Patterson, who is committed to Arizona, has all of the intangibles to be successful at her position, and the Griffins will benefit from that.

Kathryn Plummer, Aliso Niguel, Sr.: Plummer’s versatility is her true strength. She easily transitions from setter to opposite hitter. She can do anything she wants on the court.
