UPDATE: Harrison decides to turn down Edison girls track job
Edison announced that Derek Harrison will take over as the school’s girls track and field coach. He has been the coach of the boys track team for the past seven years.
Jeannie Formosa started last season as the Chargers’ girls coach, but she resigned for “personal reasons,” according to Athletic Director Richard Boyce on May 7.
Jimmy Flanagan finished the season as the interim head coach.
