Bryson Crites

Tesoro, So.

Crites showed major improvement while significantly lowering his times from last season. He shaved 2 minutes, 42 seconds off his time at the Laguna Hills Invite for a third-place grade-level finish and won the South Coast League Preview. Crites finished fifth at the O.C. Championships and 16th in the CIF-SS Division 2 Finals.

Alexis Garcia

Newport Harbor, So.

Garcia made huge strides with six top-five finishes, including first place at the Central Park Invitational and the Sunset League Finals. He posted his fastest time of the season (15:05) at the O.C. Championships. Garcia posted the identical time in the CIF-SS Division 2 Prelims and CIF-SS Finals (15:06) to finish third and 10th, respectively, and qualify for the CIF State meet.

Anthony Grover

JSerra, Fr.

Grover burst on the scene by finishing in the top five in all 10 of his races. He earned a grade-level win at the Laguna Hills Invitational and first place at the ‘Iolani Invitational. Grover was the top county runner in the Division 4 race at the Mt. SAC Invite, CIF-SS Finals and CIF State meet. He finished fourth at the O.C. Championships with his best time of the season (15:08).

Brandon Hough

Dana Hills, Sr.

Hough helped lead the way for Dana Hills with six top-10 finishes. He finished 10th at the O.C. Championships, posted a season-best (14:50) at the Riverside Invitational, finishing in sixth place, and finished fifth at the South Coast League Finals. Hough paced the Dolphins at the CIF-SS Prelims with a second-place finish and posted the second-fastest time for a county runner at the CIF State meet.

Stuart Kendall

Foothill, Jr.

Kendall started his season with a grade-level win at the Laguna Hills Invitational and first place in the rated race at the Woodbridge Classic. He took ninth at the O.C. Championships and CIF-SS Division 1 Finals. Kendall finished outside of the top 10 only once, when he finished 18th (third-fastest time for a county runner) at the state meet.

Josh O’Neill

Trabuco Hills, So.

O’Neill hit his stride midway through the season. He finished sixth (15:09) at the O.C. Championships to lead Trabuco Hills to a second-place finish. He set a personal record and ran his best time of the season (14:49) in a fourth-place finish at the South Coast League Finals. O’Neill finished fourth at the CIF-SS Division 1 Prelims.

Thomas Wilfert

Dana Hills, Sr.

Wilfert, another senior leader for the Dolphins, placed third at the O.C. Championships and the South Coast League Finals, where he ran a personal-record 14:49. Wilfert had consistently strong performances at the end of the season, finishing 13th at CIF-SS Plrims, 15th aat CIF-SS Finals and 22nd at the state meet.
