Top four seeded teams: 1. Village Christian of Sun Valley (21-7); 2. Monrovia (21-4); 3. Santa Ynez (21-3); 4. Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth (22-4).
O.C. teams: Capistrano Valley Christian (18-8-1); Saddleback Valley Christian (14-11-1); Whittier Christian (16-12).
Analysis: Capistrano Valley Christian won the Division 6 championship last year and several players back from the 2014 team, including pitcher A.J. Discenzo (5-0, 1.30 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings) and catcher Zack Anast (21 RBI). The Eagles won the San Joaquin League championship, one of the better small-schools leagues in Southern California. Saddleback Valley Christian finished second in the San Joaquin. Whittier Christian plays a wild-card round home game Tuesday against Campbell Hall of North Hollywood.
