Orange County veteran baseball coach Vince Brown was named athletic director at Orange Lutheran on Thursday.
Brown, who turns 61 next week, was the baseball coach at Tustin, Woodbridge and Foothill. He is in his final year as a teacher in the Tustin Unified School District. Brown is a physical education instructor at Foothill.
Brown said he will work with pitchers in the Orange Lutheran baseball program this season. His plan is to work exclusively as the Lancers’ athletic director starting this summer.
Brown attended Mater Dei and the University of Alabama. His son Tommy is an offensive lineman at Alabama following an All-County career at Mater Dei.
