More than 50 athletes and coaches from Orange County high schools were honored at the Register’s annual Athletes and Coaches of the Year banquet on Wednesday night at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin.
The event, which was attended by nearly 300 people, included the announcement of the Register’s top award winners for the year.

San Juan Hills senior Sean Rhyan (football, track and field) was named male athlete of the year, and JSerra senior Isabella D’Aquila (soccer) was selected female athlete of the year.
The Outstanding Competitor awards went to Corona del Mar’s John Humphreys (football, basketball) and Trabuco Hills’ Kyliegh Wilkerson (basketball, track, softball).

The banquet’s guest speaker was Pat McInally, a former NFL star and a 2016 inductee to the College Football Hall of Fame.
