Keyshawn Johnson Jr. has enrolled at Santa Margarita, school athletic director Richard Schaaf confirmed today.

Johnson, a sophomore receiver, withdrew from Mission Viejo on Tuesday and was accepted at Santa Margarita later in the day. He is the son of his namesake father who played at USC and in the NFL and now is a commentator on ESPN’s NFL coverage.

Johnson played for Mission Viejo on Friday in the Diablos loss to Liberty of Bakersfield.

To become athletically eligible at Santa Margarita this season, Johnson would have to make a change of residence or receive a hardship waiver from the CIF-Southern Section. The change of residence would have to be verified by the section office. A hardship waiver would be acquired if the student-athlete could prove that difficult circumstances at School A necessitated the transfer to School B.
