Eric Lo has resigned as the football coach at Huntington Beach.
Lo said Friday he tendered his resignation Wednesday. He coached the Oilers for nine seasons, and led them to a CIF-Southern Section championship in 2013.
He said he resigned to create more time so spend with his family.
“When I started coaching here I had no kids,” Lo said. “Now I have three small kids. It’s time to focus my attention on them and to be the husband and father I want to be.”
The Oilers were 53-40 during Lo’s tenure. They finished 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the Sunset League in 2015.
Lo will remain at Huntington Beach as a physical education teacher.
