Punk rock bands Dropkick Murphys and Rancid are hitting the road together later this summer with support from The Bronx.

The trek kicks off in August and comes to California for multiple dates in October with shows at Frost Amphitheater in Palo Alto Thursday, Oct. 7; a festival performance at Aftershock at Discovery Park in Sacramento Friday, Oct. 8; the Observatory OC Festival Grounds in Santa Ana Saturday, Oct. 9; Gallagher Square Park at Petco Park in San Diego Sunday, Oct. 10; Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles Wednesday, Oct. 13; and the tour wraps up at an outdoor show adjacent to The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles Saturday, Oct. 16.

Tickets for all of the shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18 at DropkickMurphys.com or RancidRancid.com.

Rancid and Dropkick Murphys have a longstanding history together. The bands met back in 1997 when Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen passed along a copy of a Dropkick EP to Rancid frontman and Hellcat Records president Tim Armstrong, who later signed Dropkick to the label. The bands have been friends ever since and hit the road together for the inaugural Boston to Berkeley Tour back in 2017.

Rancid’s last album, “Trouble Maker” came out in 2017. Dropkick Murphys performed two livestreamed St. Patrick’s Day shows during the pandemic (in 2020 and 2021) and drew over 5.9 million viewers to its “Streaming Outta Fenway” virtual performance last year. The band also dropped a new album, “Turn Up The Dial,” back in April.
