Five Dana Hills track and field standouts qualified for this weekend’s CIF State Championships Friday.

Jake Ogden in the 3,200-meter relay and the girls 1,600-meter relay team of Kimiko Tanaka, Brenna McNulty, Chloe Deol and Michaela King advanced after posting top performances at the CIF-Southern Section Masters Meet at Cerritos College.

Ogden, a sophomore, advanced after posting the seventh-fastest time in the 3,200 at 9:03.77, also the 12th-fastest time in the state this season.

The girls relay squad posted a time of 3:49.80, the fifth-fastest time of the meet and 14th in the state in 2014. Only the top eight finishers qualified for the state meet at Buchanan High in Clovis on Friday.
