Tarbut V’ Torah’s boys basketball team lost to Ribet Academy, 71-59, in the 6AA final Thursday night at Colony High in Ontario.
The Lions led, 47-41, going into the fourth quarter but could not contain Ribet Academy in the fourth quarter.
The Lions jumped out to an 8-2 lead but Ribet Academy led, 14-12, after one quarter.
It marked the second time the Lions have lost in the finals.
About 150 TVT fans made the bus trip here and the Lion mascot has just entertained the fans at halftime.

The Eagles got to the finals last year but missed out on a title, losing to Desert Christian.
There are two other Irvine teams going for titles this week.
In girls basketball, No. 3-seeded Woodbridge will be out to win its second straight CIF title when it faces No. 1 Mater Dei in the 2A title game Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Pyramid at Long Beach State.
The Warriors won the IIIA crown last year.
Also on Saturday, Beckman’s girls soccer team faces Harvard Westlake in the CIF Division 2 title game at 5 p.m. at Warren High in Downey.
