Outlook: Hartigan is expecting continued growth and improvement in the Lions football program. Will it be enough to contend for a playoff berth in such a challenging league? JSerra has five returning starters on defense, including 2011 All-Trinity League first-team selection Taro Doone at linebacker. Running back Casey Eugenio was all-league first team last year. Senior receiver Tucker Johnson last year had 15 catches for 168 yards. It will be a young team, though. Ten Lions who will start or play significant backup roles are sophomore. JSerra also has more two-way players than most Trinity League teams. JSerra beat Orange Lutheran in a league game last year. Can the Lions add another league victory or two this year?
