LA HABRA - La Habra scored touchdowns on 12 of 14 possessions in an 83-0 first-round rout of Anaheim on Friday in its CIF-SS Southwest Division playoffs opener at La Habra High. (Full game stats.)

El Dorado, which defeated Huntington Beach Thursday, will play host to La Habra in the second round.

"That's what happens when the kids play hard," Highlanders coach Frank Mazzotta said of the victory, which was the 100th of his career at La Habra (9-2).

Quarterback Randall Nygren completed 10 of 16 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns before yielding to backup Christian Salinas late in the third quarter.

Ronnie Hillman rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and caught four passes for 89 yards and two scores.

Josh Quezada carried 11 times for 166 yards and three touchdowns.

Salinas completed 3 of 4 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown and backup running backs Mark Yackey and Brett Bartolone each scored touchdowns.

"I'm going to let the second-unit kids play," Mazzotta said. "That's why they practice. … I'm not going to tell them to take a knee."

The Colonists finished the season 5-6.
