Capo Valley Christian still searching for first win

Special to OCVarsity.com
SAN CLEMENTE- In a battle of winless teams, Calvary Chapel of Murrieta emerged with a 48-13 victory over Capistrano Valley Christian at San Clemente High.

Warriors running back Blaine Whitson gained 180 yards on seven carries and ran for four touchdowns, all coming in the first half.

The Eagles had no solution to the Warriors running game as they allowed 392 yards on the ground.

The absence of All-Academy League middle linebacker Bryan Argaez, who has suffered two concussions, left the Eagles defense porous and a step behind the speedy Warriors (1-3-1) backs.

CVC (0-5) running back Neakzaad Horriat carried the ball 14 times for 154 yards. He scored two touchdowns, one coming on a 30-yard pass from quarterback Sean Connely.
