Aztecs fall to John Glenn.
GARDEN GROVE - After two road losses to open the season, La Quinta had a chance to play before the home fans Friday, but the result was the same as John Glenn ended a two-game losing skid with a 28-0 victory over the Aztecs at Bolsa Grande High.

John Glenn (2-2) held La Quinta (0-3) to 160 yards in offense and effectively put the game away with touchdowns early and late in the second quarter.

Jose Escobar found Justin Hong for a 63-yard scoring pass 48 seconds into the period, then Brandon Kelly scored on a 1-yard run 6 seconds before halftime.

John Glenn’s Devon Foggie intercepted a George Martinez screen pass and raced 33 yards for a touchdown with just under 6 minutes left in the game, and Deion Bernard capped the scoring for the Eagles with a 17-yard run a couple short time later.

Martinez completed just 5 of 20 passes for 48 yards and was sacked three times.
