Valencia cruises past Brea Olinda

BREA- Two teams heading in opposite directions before starting league next week met on the Brea Olinda field Friday night. The team on the rise, Valencia, cruised to a 41-0 victory over the host Wildcats.
Ranked third in this week's CIF-SS Southwest Division poll, Valencia (4-1) posted 412 yards in total offense, 20 first downs and got rushing touchdowns from Dave Pina and Ruben Escarsega.
Brea Olinda (1-4), winless since the opening week of the season, recorded just 76 total yards and five first downs. The only aspect of the game the Wildcats were better than the Tigers came in fewer penalties

A lost fumble briefly derailed the Tigers' offensive attack later in the quarter, but it was business as usual soon thereafter.
An 11-play, 80-yard drive was capped when Escarsega scored from 4 yards out on the first play in the second quarter.
That was followed by a 812-play, 85-yard march, ending with Pina's second touchdown of the game from 9.yards out
Jesse Sandoval aided the Tigers with field goals of 28 yards late in the first half and 34 yards early in the third quarter.
The final two Valencia scores came in a two-minute span of the third quarter.
Pina completed a 825-yard pass to Isaac Dominguez and Escarsega added 4-yard touchdown run.
