Pacifica blasts Troy, 27-0
Game played at Fullerton High.
Brannon’s only score in the game was a 3-yard touchdown run with 4:19 left in the fourth quarter. Still, it was a workhorse night for the senior Pacifica back. Among his 34 carries, Brannon had runs of 64, 32 and 35 yards and helped sophomore quarterback Mario Nava to a win in his first varsity start.
Nava, filling in for injured senior quarterback Raymond Huizar, completed his first varsity pass on a% 7-yard play to running back Jacob Saludes in the second quarter. Nava also completed his first TD pass with 1:56 left in the third quarter, a 3-yard pass to wide receiver Josh Gulley.
Nava finished the game completing 5-of-11 passes, for 33 yards.
An 85-yard opening kickoff return by Pacifica’s Cody Johnson was the only score during the first half.
