Orange vs. Garden Grove

ORANGE - Sean Young’s three first-half touchdowns would help keep Garden Grove in the ranks of the unbeaten Saturday night, but a game Orange squad gave the Argonauts all they wanted before falling 25-15 at El Modena High.

After the Panthers (0-3) had taken a 7-6 first-quarter lead on quarterback Edgar Bejarano’s one-yard run, Young closed the quarter with a 44-yard scoring run on the ensuing drive for a 13-7 lead.

In the second quarter, Young, who rushed for 191 yards on 27 carries, capped a 45-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run.

Following a fumble recovery by Frankie Huizar, which gave the Argos (3-0) the ball at the Panthers 29, Young bulled over from the one eight plays later on fourth down as time expired in the first half.

Despite giving up 404 yards, the Panthers held three times inside its five yard line in the second half.
