103 - SAMMY CANO,
Santa Ana, Soph.

In his first full season at the varsity level, Cano didn't disappoint. He won the Ed Spring Classic and the Estancia Invitational. He placed third at third at CIF, fifth at Masters. He went 1-2 at the state tournament.

112 -JUAN JAIME
Laguna Hills, Jr.

Jaime was one of the reasons why Laguna Hills had another dominant season. The junior was seventh at Five Counties, first at CIF, fourth at Masters and   eighth at state. It was his second consecutive state appearance.

119 - BOBBY MORALES
Laguna Hills, Jr.

Morales ended his first trip to the state tournament with a seventh place finish. He was fifth at Five Counties, first at CIF, second at Masters. He will be one of the top returning wrestlers next season.

125 - KEVIN BARTON
El Modena, Sr.

Barton made the jump from 112s this season for the Vanguards. He won his second consecutive CIF title. He was fourth at Masters to advance to his first state tournament.

130 - CHARLES CHAVEZ
El Dorado, Jr.

Chavez is becoming a fixture at the state tournament as he made his third   consecutive trip to Bakersfield. He also placed second at CIF and third at   Masters.

135 - MITCH NEWCOMER
Laguna Hills, Sr.

Newcomer had an amazing season for the Hawks. He was first at Five Counties,  CIF and Masters. He advanced to the semifinals at state before losing. He  eventually finished third.

140 - KYLE CHENE
Irvine, Sr.

Struggled through injuries during the season, but got things together at the right time. He placed second at CIF, first at Masters and seventh at the state title. He became Irvine's first Masters individual champion.

145 - JOSH ZARAGOZA
Sunny Hills, Sr.

Zaragoza started the season at 152s, but dropped down before league finals. He finished first at CIF and sixth at Masters. He went 1-2 in his first state tournament appearance.

152 - TIGRAN ADZHEMYAN
Calvary Chapel, Sr.

His transition from freestyle to folkstyle competition went rather smoothly.   Adzhemyan was third at both Five Counties and the Reno Tournament of Champions   and first at CIF and Masters. He placed fifth at the state tournament.

160 -   JONATHAN RIVERA
Santa Ana, Sr.

Rivera was MVP at both the Ed Spring Classic and Estancia Invitational. He placed eighth at Five Counites, first at CIF and fifth at Masters.

171 - ANTHONY DUARTE
Fountain Valley, Sr.

Duarte was “the” guy for Barons this season. He was third at Five Counties,   first at CIF, second at Masters and fourth at state. He was the first Fountain   Valley wrestler to place at state since 1985.

189 - TAYLOR WARDEN
Calvary Chapel, Sr.

Warden (CSF) was third at the Reno Tournament of Champions, second at CIF and third at Masters. At his second consecutive state appearance, he went 3-2,  falling one round short of placing.

215 - WILLIAM KNOWLES
Calvary Chapel, Soph.

“Tank” Knowles advanced to the state tournament for the second consecutive   season. This time, he placed fourth. Knowles was second at Reno TOC, third at   Five Counties, first at CIF and sixth at Masters.

285 - KEVIN SHANNON
El Modena, Sr.

Shannon finished second at CIF and fifth at Masters. He was one of two county heavyweights to get to state.
