Ancich, Gibson picked to coach all-star football game

Villa Park’s Dusan Ancich and Woodbridge’s Rick Gibson have been named the coaches for July’s 53rd Brea Lions Orange County North-South Prep All-Star Football Game.
The game will be played July 6 at Orange Coast College. Ancich will guide the North while Gibson leads the South.
In his third season, Ancich led Villa Park to a 10-0 record in the regular season and a top-10 ranking in Orange County.
The Spartans lost to eventual CIF-SS Southwest champion Tustin, 35-7, in the second round of the playofts.
Gibson will coach in the all-star game for the second time. He led the South to a 24-7 victory in 1999.
Gibson has coached at Woodbridge for 23 seasons. He guided the Warriors to the CIF Division VI title in 1998.
