La Habra plays dominating role in 62-0 victory

LA HABRA- The La Habra football team started out fast and never let up against city rival Sonora in the Freeway League opener for both teams played Friday at La Habra High.
The Highlanders scored touchdowns on six of seven first-half possessions and rolled to a 62-0 victory.
Quarterback Randell Nygren completed 13 of 15 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two more scores to lead La Habra (4-2, 1-0).
Ronnie Hillman collected 241 all-purpose yards. He scored two touchdowns receiving and one rushing.
Josh Quezada carried five times for 136 yards and a score. David Acevedo led on defense with two interceptions, returning one for 25-yard TD.
La Habra pulled its starters late in the third quarter.
Chris Eko and Jakob McCarthy recovered fumbles for the Raiders (2-4, 0-1).
