Santa Ana Valley refuses to be stopped by Century
Santa Ana Valley defeats Century, 36-0.
Valley (4-2, 1-0) used scoring runs of 7 and 8 yards by Darius Narcoste in the game’s first nine minutes to establish control against the Centurions (2-4, 0-1). Narcoste rushed for 241 yards on 26 carries.
Joe Garcia added a pair of scoring receptions in the second quarter. Narcoste’s 11-yard run in the fourth capped the scoring.
Valley’s defense allowed just 77 yards, forcing three fumbles and getting three quarterback sacks.
“Our defense simply played outstanding today,” Valley coach Larry Mohr said. “Outside of the penalties and the turnovers, I was pleased offensively as well.”
