Mater Dei quarterback offered by USC
Max Wittek adds a scholarship offer from the Trojans.
USC has offered a scholarship to Mater Dei junior quarterback Max Wittek, Monarchs coach Bruce Rollinson confirmed Thursday night.
Wittek (6-5, 210) now has early scholarship offers from USC, UCLA, Cal and Florida among others, Rollinson has reported.
Rivals.com lists 13 scholarship offers for Wittek, which likely makes him the most coveted class of 2011 recruit in Orange County at the moment.
Wittek is being viewed by recruiters as a versatile quarterback who can beat teams with his arm or legs.
“He can play in any system – that’s what makes him attractive,” said quarterback guru Steve Clarkson, who works with Wittek. “He’s among the best (in the nation).”
Said Rollinson, "I think the sky is the limit next year."
