Troy rolls past Sunny Hills, 41-6
FULLERTON - A balanced offensive attack and impressive defensive performance propelled Troy to a 41-6 Freeway League victory over Sunny Hills Friday night at Fullerton High.
Leading, 7-0, Troy (7-3,4-1) began to take control of the game with 11:53 left in the second quarter after a 21-yard rushing score from senior Dallas Parent.
Minutes later, Parent found the end zone again, this time on a 34-yard pass from Kyle Blumer to extend the lead to 20-0 after the missed PAT.

Parent finished the night with 79 yards on eight carries, and added three receptions for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
The Warriors, who will enter the CIF-Southern Section playoffs as the Freeway League’s No. 2 seed, took a 27-0 lead into halftime after another passing touchdown from Blumer, this time finding Trent Matthews with 26 seconds left. in the half.
Blumer finished with 208 yards on 14 of 20 passing, with three touchdowns and one interception.
For Sunny Hills (3-7, 0-6), it struggled to obtain any type of offensive consistency the entire night.
Senior Joe Lee finished with 77 yards on 16 carries. Lee had his team’s lone score on a 10-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds to play.
Troy sophomore receiver Dominic Vaccher had 9 receptions for 142 yards and one touchdown. His score came on a 15-yard catch that gave the Warriors their first score early in the first quarter.
