Foothill fends off late charge by El Toro

OCVarsity.com

TUSTIN Foothill dodged El Toro’s last punch in a 34-33 Sea View League shootout at Tustin High on Friday night.

The Chargers’  Vince D’Amato’s field-goal attempt with 16 seconds remaining hooked left from 42 yards out and sealed the Knights’  homecoming victory.

The teams traded offensive punches throughout the contest with the bulk of the scoring coming for the running back position.

Michael Camacho finished with 130 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns for Foothill (7-2, 3-1).  Jai Morris had 201 rushing yards and two scores for El Toro (5-4, 3-1).

D’Amato had kicked two field goals for the Chargers earlier in the game. El Toro had tried to go for two after its last TD but was stopped.
