Foothill Quarterback Chad Miller dives for extra yards against El Modena during their game in Orange Friday night.

ORANGE - The battle between undefeated, high-scoring offenses lived up to the hype.

Unfortunately for El Modena, so did Foothill’s top offensive players.

Tailback Michael Camachorushed for three touchdowns and 175 yards, and Chad Millerthrew for two touchdowns and rushed for three more as the Knights outlasted the Vanguards, 56-38, in a nonleague game Friday at El Modena High.

"Between Camacho, myself and our offensive line I don’t think anyone can really stop us," Miller said. "It's tough with all the misdirection (plays) we have and all the people that can carry the ball."

Camacho's touchdown from 21 yards out early in the second quarter broke a 14-14 tie and sparked Foothill’s scoring burst.

After consecutive three-and-outs on defense, Miller and Camacho each added rushing scores three minutes apart to open up a 34-14 lead they would not relinquish.

Ray Holleyled the Vanguards with 148 yards rushing and a touchdown.
