TEHACHAPI - Josh Strauss rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries to lead Tehachapi past visiting Segerstrom, 17-12, on Saturday night at Tehachapi High.
After failing to score for three quarters, the Jaguars found the end zone twice in a two-minute span.
With 7:01 left, quarterback Brian Murrietta rushed 40 yards for a touchdown to cut Tehachapi’s lead to five, but Segerstrom missed the 2-point attempt.
Segerstrom’s Francisco Partida led with 51 yards and one TD on 11 carries.
