Dana Hills does something special at CIF Finals
WALNUT - Dana Hills coach Tim Butler has seen his share of amazing races and winning performances throughout the storied history of the Dolphins boys cross country program.
Yet, even he acknowledged the performance put on by his squad in the CIF-SS Division I finals on Saturday will hold special meaning to him.
Squaring off against a tough field that included the top-ranked team in the nation, the Dolphins were the only team to place three runners in the top 20 en route to capturing their third consecutive Division I title at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals at Mt. San Antonio College.
“There’s no doubt this one is special,” said Butler. “We knew our kids had heart and potential and it just amazes me what this team has accomplished.”
