Tandy played on both sides of the ball (rushing for 54 yards and caught one pass), but he left his impact on defense. Tandy was credited with seven tackles, recovered a fumble and had an interception that he returned 52 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter, leading Tustin to the 35-28 victory over El Toro in the CIF-SS Southwest Division final.
