MVP: The La Habra defense. The Highlanders held Fullerton running back Michael Allain to 63 yards on 19 carries. He came in averaging 262 yards a game in the playoffs. Fullerton had just two first downs in the second half and 171 total yards.

It was over when: Nick Sedaka leaped in front of a Fullerton receiver and came down with the interception in the final minute, allowing La Habra to run out the clock.

Play of the game: Ronnie Hillman breaks to his left, gets a block from Jason Davis, and makes an inside-out fake before dashing down the sideline for a 71-yard touchdown run.
