Last season: 5-5, 2-3 (fourth place)

Postseason: 2005, lost to Long Beach Poly, 55-7, in Division I first round

Coach: Eric Lo (second year, 5-5)

Outlook: The Oilers have seven starters coming back. They are looking pretty solid at the skill positions with returning starters at wide receiver and better running backs than last season. The offensive line lacks experience. The secondary has some experience, but the front seven needs to develop.

Home stadium: Newport Harbor High/Ocean View High

Factoid: The Oilers will play all of its games on the road this season due to the refurbishment of the stadium at Huntington Beach High.

Strongest: Kevin Ketelsleger (295-pound bench press)

Fastest: Dylan Simmons (4.43 in 40-yard dash)
