Postseason: 2006, lost to Troy, 49-35, in quarterfinals of Southwest Division Playoffs.
Coach: Jim O’Connell (Second Year, 0-10)
Outlook: It was a miserable 2007 season for the Roadrunners, as they struggled to stop opponents from scoring (41.7 points per game). Unfortunately, 2008 could be another tough season, as only three starters return from last year. All league linebacker Anthony Lopez will look to spark the offense, as he will assume the quarterback role this season as well. With a youthful defense (five juniors and a sophomore projected to start), Saddleback will be looking to gain confidence heading into 2009.
Home stadium: Santa Ana Stadium
Factoid: One of only four teams in the county to go winless in 2007 (Buena Park, Woodbridge, La Quinta)
