Five things you should know about the Tritons:
1. They are a work in progress after a rough showing in the Dana Hills passing tournament.
“We got a lot of work to do,” Coach Eric Patton said. “We’re kind of slow starters in the summer. We came out against Edison and Tesoro and we lost both of them. But I’m happy with where we’re at at that point of the season.”
2. They have seen the YouTube video of Warren Reuland’s phantom touchdown catch from last year’s game against Mission Viejo.
“I’ve seen that,” receiver/defensive back Ben Gomez said. “I don’t know what to say. Everyone saw what really happened. I don’t want to see it again.”
3. Players to watch: WR Graham Tenney, WR/DB Ben Gomez
4. Areas of need: offensive line, defensive line
5. Areas of strength: receiver, running back
