Spring Insider: Q&A with Bijon Samoodi
Five questions with Bijon Samoodi:
Question: Who’s the NFL player you see yourself playing like?
Bijon Samoodi: I would have to say a former football play, Deion Sanders, because of how he played defense. He made plays. And what he’d do on special teams — an all-around playmaker
Q: What is your favorite thing to do, your favorite part of the game?
BS: I love making big hits, especially on those outs when the receiver’s not looking.
Q:What are your personal goals this season?
BS:Try to break how many interceptions I had last year and more tackles. And hopefully get a scholarship. I had six interceptions and 30-something tackles.
Q: Are you the best defensive back in the county?
BS: I don’t know. My good friend from Mission Viejo, Alex Mascarenas, is a good DB. That’s who I like to watch. We’ll just have to see.
Q: What is something people don’t know about you?
BS: I like to draw in my free time — people, sometimes. I don’t draw my teachers. (Laughs.) Sometimes I’ll get a picture and draw people, their faces.
