FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE GRIFFINS:

1. They have not forgotten that they missed the playoffs last year.
“I think it’s disappointing,” quarterback Clark Evans said. “As a team I think we played well, but it’s going to give us a chip on our shoulder. Most of our guys return.”

2. They appreciate the name on the front of their jerseys.
“I think it’s a big part of our image and who we are,” linebacker Anthony Napolas said. “Coach Barnes is a legend to me. I probably have more confidence (than when I first got here).”
