Laban went 19-5 with a 0.33 ERA and 202 strikeouts in 1711/3 innings. She also was one of the team's top hitters.

Cheyanne Tarango, Canyon, Pitcher, Freshman
The right-hander showed why she will be a fixture among the county's top pitchers with an excellent rookie season. She pitched all but three innings for the Comanches this season and recorded 13 shutouts and had 17 games with at least 10 strikeouts. She went 22-8 with a 1.57 ERA and 290 strikeouts in 1811/3 innings.

Kylie Wagner, El Modena, Pitcher, Senior
The Evansville-bound ace led the Vanguards to their second consecutive Century League title and the Division II championship. Wagner recorded eight shutouts, including six in league play. She went 25-6 with a 1.23 ERA and 241 strikeouts in 200 innings. She also was the team's leading hitter with a .434 batting average, eight homers and 35 RBIs.

Monica Aguilar, Kennedy, Infielder, Senior
The St. Joseph's-bound third baseman lived up to her reputation as one of the county's top clutch hitters with another fine season. She makes the first team All-County for the second consecutive season. Aguilar batted .398 with 10 doubles, three triples, four homers 23 RBIs and 23 runs.

Kristen Arriola, Pacifica, Infielder, Senior
The Arizona-bound second baseman was a first-team selection as a sophomore and she is back on the first team after an excellent senior year. Not only was she a stellar defensive player, but she also was a big-time offensive player. She batted .365 with five doubles, eight home runs, 33 run, 29 RBIs and 22 stolen bases.

Kendal Hennings, El Toro, Infielder, Senior
The Cal Poly San Luis Obispo-bound shortstop helped lead the Chargers to the Sea View League championship. The slick fielder had a .952 fielding percentage and she led her team with a .424 batting average, 11 RBIs, 22 runs and eight stolen bases. She was selected to the South and the American All-Star teams.

Tayler Van Acker, Canyon, Infielder, Sophomore
Van Acker got a lot of playing time as a freshman, but she had a breakthrough year this season. She batted third for the Comanches and put up big-time numbers, hitting a team-high .432 with seven doubles, two triples, three homers, 19 runs and 17 RBIs.

Elia Reid, Kennedy, Outfielder, Senior
The Cal-bound speedster made second team All-County as a sophomore and junior and she moves up to the first team after another outstanding season. She can cover an amazing amount of territory in the outfield and was a disruptive force whenever she got on base. She hit .383 with two doubles, seven homers, 20 runs, 20 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.

Jamia Reid, Kennedy, Outfielder, Senior
Reid, the twin sister of Elia who also has signed with Cal, makes first team All-County for the third consecutive season. She was the co-MVP of the Empire League. With track star speed like her sister, Reid was the most dangerous leadoff hitter in the county. She hit .532 with 12 doubles, 28 runs, 14 RBIs and 20 stolen bases.

Allison Taylor, El Modena, Utility, Senior
Taylor, who signed with UC Santa Barbara, started off in the outfield, played some infield and took over at catcher when the Vanguards lost their starter to injury. She was El Modena's vocal and emotional leader on the road to the Division II title. She hit .344 with 25 runs and 15 RBIs for the season; she hit .515 in league and had a .550 on base percentage in the playoffs.

Brittany Spalding, Los Alamitos, Designated hitter, Junior
Spalding got some playing time as a sophomore before exploding on the scene this season. She belted a county-record 15 homers and drove in a county-record 53 RBIs. She hit .552 and scored 35 runs. Look for more big things from this third baseman next season.

Danielle Yudin, Tesoro, Catcher, Senior
The UCLA-bound Yudin made all three postseason All-Star games. Few teams dared to run on her because of the strength of her arm and she only made one error all season. She hit .449 with a .530 on-base percentage and a .681 slugging percentage. She scored 15 runs and drove in 10 runs.
