Notebook: Trabuco Hills Invite great prep for Arcadia
In anticipation of this weekend's Arcadia Invitational, many of the county's top track and field athletes used last week's ASICS Trabuco Hills Invitational to put themselves at or near the top of the state leader boards.
Dana Hills senior Devin Harrison (21.54 seconds) is tied with Vista Murrieta junior Bernard Quinn for the state lead in the 200 after winning Saturday's race. Harrison is also third in the state in the 400 (47.94) and seventh in the state in the 100 (10.77).

SWIMMING
Crean Lutheran freshman swimmer Lindsey Engel could set another record this week at the Foothill Swim Games.
Engel, coming off a record-setting performance at the Mission Viejo Invitational, Engel said she likely will compete in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles at Foothill.
Engel broke former Irvine standout Courtney Cashion's 2003 meet record in the 100 freestyle at the Mission Viejo Invitational with a county-leading time of 50.51 seconds.
Cashion also holds the 100 free record at the Foothill Swim Games with a 50.81.

BOYS GOLF
Villa Park's Kethan Reddy won the AJGA Preseason Junior by five strokes, posting a 3-under 141 on the 6,738 yard Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont.
He took the first-round lead in the 96-player tournament after holing five birdies, including four in a row, on the front nine to go out with a 4-under 32. He ended up posted in a 4-under 68, making him the only player to shoot in the 60's that day. He finished with a 1-over 73.
Troy's Allison Lillie finished tied for ninth in the girls division. …
Servite senior Preston Valder medaled three times last week for the Friars, coming in at a combined 5-under par. He started the week with a 2-under 34 at Tijeras Creek Golf Club that helped the Friars edge rival Santa Margarita on its home course by one stroke, 179-180.

WRESTLING
Calvary Chapel's Morgan McIntosh continued his undefeated season into the postseason.
McIntosh, a three-time California state champion, defeated Gabe Dean of Lowell (Michigan) in the finals at 189 pounds at this year's FloNationals Open in Ohio.
It was McIntosh's second consecutive FloNationals title. His Calvary Chapel teammate William Knowles placed sixth at 215 pounds.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Here are some of the top matches on tap for the week:
Tonight in the Sunset League, Newport Harbor visits Edison. The Chargers lost a five-game match to Huntington Beach Friday.
In the Trinity League, Mater Dei visits Orange Lutheran, Servite is at St. John Bosco and JSerra visits Santa Margarita.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Two of the top girls lacrosse players in the state, Megan Armes of Mission Viejo and Marcy Levatino of Laguna Hills, will lead their teams in a nonleague match Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Mission Viejo.
The coaches of the two girls, Rick Hart of Laguna Hills and Renate Schmidt of Mission Viejo, are planning to pay tribute to the two girls before the match.
Both have earned scholarships to play lacrosse for Division I universities.
Armes will attend St. Mary's and Levatino will attend Fresno State.
