He was named most valuable player of the North Orange County Championships after scoring 30 points in Sonora’s 76-64 victory over Mayfair of Lakewood in the tournament championship game Saturday. In previous tournament games Golden, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, scored 23 points with 11 rebounds against Capistrano Valley in the semifinals, 14 points against El Modena and scored 25 against Claremont.
