SANTA ANA - Francisco Partida rushed for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Segerstrom defeated Ocean View, 35-14, in a Golden West League game Friday at Segerstrom High.

Akeem Christian added two scores and Segerstrom's defense blanked Ocean View in the second half.

"He (Partida) is hard to defend," Jaguars coach Mike Maceranka said. "We line him up all over the field to get him the ball and it’s hard to find him."

The Jaguars (4-3, 1-1) built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but the Seahawks (5-2, 1-1) came back with two scores on Kyle Walker touchdown runs of 1 and 3 yards.

But Ocean View couldn’t find an answer for Segerstrom’s rushing attack, which totaled 462 yards.

Partida capped a 64-yard drive with a 38-yard sprint to the end zone of a reverse and Segerstrom's defense held the Ocean View scoreless the rest of the way.
