Travis Harrison
Tustin
Jr., Inf
One of the county's premier power hitters, Harrison was All-County second team last year, and is on the Baseball American preseason All-America team. Last season he batted .556 with eight home runs and 18 RBIs, with 16 stolen bases. As a freshman he hit seven homers, including two grand slams.
Austin Hedges
JSerra
Jr., C
He was the Trinity League's player of the year last season, as a sophomore, when he batted .383 with an on-base percentage of .537 to help the Lions win their first league championship. Hedges stole 10 bases, including a steal of home in a crucial, one-run league victory over Orange Lutheran. He has committed to UCLA.
Henry Owens
Edison
Jr., P
This 6-foot-7 left-hander was 10-1 last season with a 0.98 ERA. He struck out 87 batters in 712/3 innings for the Chargers. Owens throws in the 90-mph range and has an off-speed pitch that is very effective. With the type of run and defensive support his Edison teammates can provide, Owens could put up even better numbers this season.
Michael Lorenzen
Fullerton
Sr., OF/P
He batted .451 last season with seven home runs, 30 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. On the mound, Lorenzen was 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA. Lorenzen, who signed with Cal State Fullerton, played in the AFLAC All-American game, is a Baseball America preseason All-American, and played on the U.S. National 16-and-under team.
Stefan Sabol
Aliso Niguel
Sr., C/OF
He is on Baseball America's preseason All-America team, and the publication ranked him as the No. 12 high school player in the nation. Sabol, who signed with Oregon and played in the AFLAC All-American game this past summer, last season batted .350 with six home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Sabol, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, is a second cousin to NFL star Troy Polamalu.
