SANTA ANA - Santa Ana quarterback Chris Avila threw for a career-high 406 yards and four touchdowns as the Saints outlasted Ocean View, 40-36, Thursday night in a Golden West league shootout at Santa Ana Stadium.

The contest featured a total of 905 offensive yards, 11 touchdowns, and five lead changes, all of which came in the fourth quarter.

Avila connected with wideout Arias Carter for three of his four TD passes.

"Arias is my big-play guy," Avila said. "Anytime we need a big play, I am going to him."

Arias' three TD grabs were his only receptions on the night. The senior speedster hauled in passes of 94, 65, and 70 yards giving him a total of 229 yards receiving.

Trailing 33-29 with 9:18 left in the fourth, the Seahawks (3-5, 0-3) recaptured the lead on a 2-yard TD run by Timothy Robinson.

Santa Ana (6-2, 2-1) responded with Avila's 70-yard TD pass to Carter on a fourth-and-nine with 1:33 remaining to seal the game.
