PAUL BERSEBACH, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
Esperanza got past San Clemente in the first round but now will take on top-seeded Long Beach Poly in the Pac-5 Division playoffs.

With one round down in the CIF-Southern Section football playoffs, 20 Orange County teams still are alive in four divisions.

There's only one left in the East Valley, but that's St. Margaret's, the top-seeded team and the holder of the longest current active winning streak in the state.

Five remain in the Pac-5, six in the Southern and, of course, eight in the all-Orange County Southwest.

So we know there will be at least one CIF champion from the county, but the chances look good for other teams as well.

Then be sure to come back throughout the week for updates, lists, videos, features and, of course, the second-round game action.
