Edison's Ellie Morrissey is the OCVarsity.com girls swimmer of the week for March 28, 2011 after helping the Chargers deliver a record-setting victory at the Millikan Southern Section Relays on Saturday night in Long Beach.

The junior anchored two record-setting relays and helped another win to help the Chargers roll to the title at the girls Millikan Southern Section Relays at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach on Saturday night. Morrissey highlighted her performance by splitting a 50.46 anchor to bring Edison's 400 free relay to the wall in a meet-record 3:28.78. She also anchored a meet-record 400 individual medley relay with a quick 57.14 split. Edison smashed the meet record by almost two seconds with a 3:54.87. After the 400 free relay, Morrissey had a quick turnaround before leading off the winning medley relay that won in a county-leading 1:46.87.
