KEVIN SULLIVAN, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
Orange Lutheran and Mater Dei tied with Servite for the Trinity League title and are near the top of the county rankings.

After an 11-week journey, we got to the point where we could see how evenly matched many Orange County high school football teams are this season.

They took turns knocking each other off, including out of the top spot in the rankings on a semi-regular basis.

And they always were competitive.

Remember when you go through the new Top 10 in the slide show to the right, a team's playoff status does not necessarily impact its place in the rankings. Therefore, you'll see two teams that didn't make the playoffs in the Top 10.
