La Quinta vs. Los Amigos recap

GARDEN GROVE Los Amigos proved to be unstoppable as it routed La Quinta (0-10, 0-5), 48-12, Friday night. The Lobos (4-6, 3-2) scored 42 points in the first half and had four consecutive touchdown drives.

The Lobos finished the first half strong with back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns.

James Boyer returned one interception 60 yards, and the other was returned 58 yards by Steven Ramirez.

"This is a great way to get going for the playoffs," said Coach Scott Beard. "We played well, we threw and ran the ball well. We practiced our passing game all week and it paid off."

Quaterback Jose Gonzalez completed 8 of 16 passes for 114 yards with one touchdown pass.

The Lobos dominated every aspect of the game. Each drive in the first half started either at the 50 or in Aztecs territory.
