Mater Dei, Reinhardt thrive from long distance

Katin Reinhardt tied a school record with nine 3-pointers and Xavier Johnson had a double-double to lead Mater Dei to an 88-50 victory over Christ the King of Flushing, N.Y., in Springfield, Mass., on Monday.
Reinhardt scored 35 points and Johnson had 12 points and 13 rebounds in the victory in the Hoophall Classic.
Elijah Brown added 15 points and Stanley Johnson had nine points and 14 rebounds as the Monarchs improved to 16-2.
Omar Calhoun, who will play at Connecticut, scored 18 for Christ the King.
