Mauritani leads El Modena to victory

In boys basketball highlights Thursday:
El Modena 78, Buena Park 74: The Vanguards were led by Brent Mauritani, who scored 39 points, including two 3-pointers, in the Coyote Classic. Buena Park's Andrew Perez scored 21 points.
Laguna Beach 68, Costa Mesa 45: Adam Selevan made five of the Breakers' 10 3-pointers and finished with 23 points. Jake Dalke and Tyler Masukawa each hit two 3-pointers and combined to score 27 points for Laguna Beach (2-1).
