Boys lacrosse playoff schedules
Foothill, the three-time defending county champion, is the No. 2 seed.
Corona del Mar, the No. 1 boys lacrosse team team in Orange County all season, is the top seed for the U.S. Lacrosse Division 1 South Division playoffs that begin on Tuesday.
The Pacific Coast League champions have a bye in the first round and will host the Tesoro-Huntington Beach winner in the second round Thursday.
Foothill, the three-time defending county and Southern California champion, is the No. 2 seed. The Knights will host the San Clemente-JSerra winner on Thursday in the second round.
St. Margaret's is third seeded and will host the El Toro-Great Oak winner Thursday in the second round.
Los Alamitos is the fourth seed and will meet the Santa Margarita-Newport Harbor winner in the second round Thursday.
"The boys pairings went well," said Dan Perry, tournament chairman. "Strength of schedule played into it. It comes down to quality wins and head to head match-ups."
In the opening round match-ups on Tuesday, No. 9 Huntington Beach will play at No. 8 Tesoro (4:30 p.m.), No. 12 Newport Harbor will play at No. 5 Santa Margarita (3 p.m.), No. 11 Great Oak will play at No. 6 El Toro (5 p.m.) and No. 10 JSerra will play No. 7 San Clemente at St. Margaret's High at 7 p.m.
The semifinals are Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at San Clemente High. The finals are Tuesday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m. at Laguna Hills High.
There is also a Division 2 tournament, which includes eight teams and will have a separate final.
No. 8 Dana Hills will play No. 1 Beckman at Irvine Stadium (6 p.m.), No. 5 Aliso Niguel will play at No. 4 Servite (4 p.m.), No. 6 Northwood will play at No. 3 Mission Viejo (7 p.m.) and No. 7 El Dorado will play at No. 2 Mater Dei (7:30 p.m.).
